The V-TAC ELEGANT VT-8564 flush ceiling light is a round surface-mounted fixture with a flat, matte plastic diffuser 49.5 cm in diameter. The body is only 6.6 cm thick, so the fixture sits almost flat against the ceiling.

Light output and remote control

The LED source is built in and cannot be replaced. The included remote switches the light colour between three settings — 3000 K warm white, a middle setting, and 6500 K cool white — and dims the fixture smoothly. At the brightest setting the luminous flux reaches 6000 lm, with a power draw of 60 W. The remote also sets a timer that switches the fixture off on its own after a programmed time.

Mounting and construction

The fixture weighs 2.07 kg and mounts directly to the ceiling, without the drop needed by pendant lights. Body and diffuser are plastic in a white finish. The manufacturer rates it for more than 15,000 switching cycles, which matters if the remote is used to switch it often, and estimates an 18-year lifespan for the light source at 3 hours of daily use. The manufacturer provides a 2-year warranty.
