V-TAC VT-8624B LED ceiling light 24 W 6500 K, 2500 lm, square 29.5 × 29.5 cm, IP44, black

VT-8624B is a square ceiling light 29.5 cm a side and 6.5 cm deep, in a black housing with an opal diffuser. The integrated 24 W LED module gives 2500 lumens — a lot for a fitting this size, about 105 lumens per watt.

IP44 — for a bathroom and for sheltered outdoor use

Ingress protection IP44 covers solid objects from 1 mm and splashing water from any direction. In practice that permits a bathroom outside the shower zone, a laundry room, a garage and a sheltered entrance — places where an ordinary IP20 ceiling light has no business hanging. That is the main difference between this model and a typical room fitting.

6500 K — daylight white

6500 K is cool daylight white, the coldest end of the usual range. At 2500 lm it gives an impression of clear brightness and order that suits technical and working spaces: a garage, a workshop, a laundry, a corridor, a cellar. In a bedroom or living room the same colour will read as cold and unsettling in the evening — the 3000 K and 4000 K variants of the same series are meant for those.

What the EPREL registry says

The product is registered in the EU EPREL database under number 1657197 (model 76471), where the manufacturer declares, under legal responsibility: 24 W, 2500 lm, energy efficiency class F, CRI 80, R9 = 10, not dimmable, and a lumen maintenance factor of 0.96 — meaning that at the end of its declared life the fitting keeps 96% of its initial brightness. The registration dates from July 2023.

Flicker — a parameter worth knowing

EPREL gives Pst LM = 1.0 and SVM = 0.9 for this model. These are flicker measures: the first describes visible pulsation, the second the stroboscopic effect on moving objects. The values are not low — for a room with rotating machinery (a workshop, a studio) or where long hours are spent at a computer, a fitting with lower figures is the better choice. For a corridor, garage or bathroom it makes no practical difference.

Installation

The fitting mounts directly on a ceiling or wall — 6.5 cm of depth fits anywhere a recessed fitting cannot go, for instance on a concrete garage slab. An integrated LED module means no bulbs to change; when the diodes reach the end of their life the whole fitting is replaced, which at this price class is a design premise rather than a fault.

About the manufacturer

V-TAC is a European LED lighting manufacturer headquartered in Sofia, with offices in Poland, Hungary and Romania among others. The brand builds its range on technical fittings at accessible prices and registers its products in the EPREL database, which lets declared parameters be verified independently of marketing material.
