The GFA051 is a recessed spotlight from Gea Luce: a square 84 mm bezel holds a round, tiltable insert with a GU10 lampholder. The body is aluminium, finished in matt white.
What hole to cut, and how much space is needed above the ceiling
The maker specifies a round 70 mm cut-out. The square 84 × 84 mm bezel covers it with about 7 mm to spare on each side, so a small wobble in the cut will not show. In the ceiling the fitting is held by spring clips, visible on the dimension drawing.
Above the ceiling the fitting needs 80 mm — a figure to check against your own construction before buying, because there is often less room above a plasterboard sheet than expected. The fitting itself weighs 80 g, 150 g packed.
Where the light comes from and how to aim it
The insert takes one GU10 lamp and the maker gives 35 W as the maximum. Light colour, output and beam angle are therefore chosen with the lamp — it, not the fitting, decides the character of the light.
The round insert tilts within the bezel, so the light can be aimed at a wall, a picture or a worktop instead of falling straight down only. A fixed downlight offers no such choice.
Where it may be installed
The IP20 rating covers dry interiors only: a room, a hallway, a kitchen. The fitting is not suitable for a bathroom near the bath or shower, nor for outdoors.
Protection class I means the circuit has to carry an earth conductor — in an older building without earthing that is worth confirming before buying. Supply is 220–240 V, with no separate driver.
