The Alora Mood Issa table lamp stands 68 cm tall: a slender rod with a flared, trumpet-like foot rises from a 14.7 cm cylindrical base and carries a cylindrical ivory linen shade. The aluminium and steel parts are finished in brushed gold. The lamp is distributed by Elstead Lighting.
Where it fits
The shade measures 21.6 cm across and 21.6 cm high, the base 14.7 cm — on a surface it needs roughly the space of a dinner plate. Compare the 68 cm height with your chest of drawers or bedside table: the lower the furniture, the higher the shade will sit above it. At 2.5 kg it stands firmly despite the narrow base.
Which bulb and what light
The E27 socket takes a bulb of up to 60 W; none is supplied. For a bedside or accent lamp 400–500 lm is enough, for reading choose about 800 lm, and 2700 K gives the warmest, yellowish light. The linen shade spreads light sideways, and its open underside lights the surface around the base.
The lamp is compatible with dimmable bulbs — dimming needs such a bulb and a dimmer. It is a Class I fitting running from a 230 V socket.
Which rooms it suits
The manufacturer lists the living room, bedroom, dining room and study. Its restrained, modernist silhouette is a scaled-down version of the Issa floor lamp, so the two can share a room.
