Issa is an Alora Mood LED wall light: a round back plate carries an arm that ends in a flared, trumpet-like stem and a flat disc. The aluminium body is finished in brushed gold, and the underside of the disc is closed by frosted acrylic that sends the light downwards. The fitting is distributed by Elstead Lighting.
Where it goes and how much space it needs
The light is 19.7 cm high and 14.2 cm wide, and it projects 17.8 cm from the wall — compare that with the width of a passage or the distance to the edge of the mirror you plan to hang it beside. At 0.7 kg it needs no wall reinforcement.
Its IP44 rating means protection against water splashing from any direction, so the manufacturer intends Issa for bathrooms — by the basin and mirror, outside the direct spray zone. It also works in a hallway or dining room. It is a Class I fitting, so the protective earth conductor must be connected during installation.
What light it gives
The source is an integrated 10.4 W LED module rated at 460 lm — enough to light the wall and the mirror area, not to serve as the only light in the room. At 3000 K the light is warm white, and a colour rendering index of CRI 92 keeps skin tones and colours in the mirror looking natural. There is no bulb to buy, and the LED module is not replaced like an ordinary lamp.
The wall light is dimmable with a dimmer suited to LED fittings. Its plain form with a softly shaped stem sits within a modernist style.
