Brinova LECTOR pairs a rectangular oiled-oak body with a black flexible arm and a small LED head. This is a wall light for a nearby, selected area, rather than a large shaded fitting that spreads light around the whole room. Visible wood grain distinguishes this particular finish.
Positioning the head beside a book
The flexible arm lets you direct the head towards the page. This construction suits a position beside a bed, a living-room armchair or a reading seat in a study. Mounting the light on the wall leaves the tabletop available for other items. When deciding where to install it, consider your seated position and the distance between the head and the book, rather than relying only on the height of nearby furniture.
One 2.8 W LED light source is included. The manufacturer specifies 110 lm and a colour temperature of 4000 K, giving neutral white rather than warm white light. The modest output and directional head favour local illumination; this fitting does not replace the room's main lighting. Its integrated LED does not require a separately chosen E27 bulb.
Allowing space around the wooden body
The manufacturer gives a lamp height of 30 cm. The drawing separately shows the wooden body as 115 mm high, 75 mm wide and 31 mm thick. These body measurements do not describe the space occupied by the curved arm. Compare the intended wall position with the bedhead or chair back and leave room to reposition the head. A switch is visible beneath the body, so keep that area within reach.
Oak without a textile shade
Oiled oak, black metal and restrained shapes suit modern, minimalist, Scandinavian and Japandi interiors. The rectangular base brings the wood into view, while the small cylindrical head leaves that detail exposed. This variant has only the LED light point, without the additional textile shade and E27 lampholder found on other members of the LECTOR family.
