LED Labs Standard RGB IP65 LED strip 60 LEDs/m 12 V 25 m

The LED Labs Standard RGB IP65 LED strip is a flexible 25 m roll fitted with SMD 5050 LEDs. There are 60 LEDs on each metre, giving the complete roll 1,500 light points. This version operates at 12 V and uses 14.4 W per metre. It is intended for installations where the light colour is selected from the RGB palette.

A 25 m roll for planned runs

The manufacturer specifies a 25 m roll length. Measure the planned route before purchase and allow for how the material will be divided in the project. The strip is sold as a complete package. The 60 LEDs/m figure describes LED density, not the length of an individual section.

RGB control and 12 V power

An RGB controller is required to control the colours. The installation needs a power supply with a 12 V output; its capacity should allow for 14.4 W for every metre of strip used. The power supply and controller should be selected for the intended installation.

IP65 protection

The manufacturer specifies IP65 protection and a silicone layer for this variant. This is relevant when planning locations that may come into contact with moisture. It does not by itself confirm suitability of the complete installation, because the power supply, controller and connections also need to suit the installation conditions.

Using the strip

Its flexible form lets light follow selected edges and built-in elements. RGB changes the colour without changing the strip. The manufacturer states a two-year warranty and a 15,000-hour lifetime.
