LED Labs: LED strips from Kraków
LED Labs is a Polish LED lighting company based in Kraków. In the maker's own words, it all began in 2006, when the Polish LED market was only just taking shape. Today LED Labs is the umbrella for several independent brands: LED Labs Lighting for strips and luminaires, LUMINES for aluminium LED profiles and track lighting, and COBALT ELECTRO for power supplies. The company runs its own R&D department and photometric laboratory and works to an ISO 9001 quality system. It thinks in systems rather than single products: strip, profile, diffuser, end cap and driver are designed to work together.
Strip lines and what sets them apart
LED Labs strips come in named lines – STANDARD, PROFI, OPTI, PURE and ECO+ – pitched at different levels. PURE is the maker's line for high colour rendering, and several PROFI and OPTI strips also reach CRI 90. Within the lines you will find COB strips, which give an even, dot-free line of light, and classic SMD strips with visible diodes. There are also tunable-white and RGB versions, and S-shaped strips that bend sideways to follow lettering or curved edges.
LED Labs at Lunares
At Lunares you will find LED Labs LED strip lights – single-colour white strips in warm, neutral and cool white, RGB strips, sealed versions for damp areas, and long reels for large installations – together with accessories for LED strips, such as connectors matched to strip width and type.
How to choose an LED strip
-
Voltage. 12 V strips suit short runs and furniture. 24 V strips carry power further with less voltage drop, and 48 V lines cover very long runs from a single feed. The power supply must match the strip voltage.
-
Power per metre. Multiply the wattage per metre by the length, then add a margin of about 20% when you size the power supply.
-
COB or SMD. In an open or shallow profile, COB gives a smooth line without dots. Behind a deep diffuser, SMD works just as well.
-
Colour temperature and CRI. 2700–3000 K for living spaces, 4000 K for kitchens and workspaces. Choose CRI 90 where colours matter, such as kitchens, wardrobes or shop displays.
-
Protection. IP20 strips belong in dry interiors and aluminium profiles; for bathrooms and outdoor use, pick a sealed version with a suitable IP rating.
-
Heat. Mount strips in an aluminium profile. It draws heat away from the diodes and extends their life.
