LED profile LUMINES Design+ aria surface-mounted black lacquered 2 m

aria is an aluminium LED profile from the LUMINES Design+ series, lacquered black, supplied in a 2020 mm length. The section is rectangular and shallow: 32.1 mm wide by 14.4 mm high, with a wide internal channel and thin side walls. The manufacturer intends it for surface mounting and for suspension.

Dimensions and how much strip fits inside

The internal channel is 28.3 mm wide, and the manufacturer states two 12 mm LED strips side by side — a profile for a double row of diodes, not for a single strip. The base measures 30.1 mm, so it is the 32.1 mm of the top edge that counts when planning clearance from a wall or a ceiling edge.

The "2 m" length is actually 2020 mm; those 20 mm are the cutting allowance. The same profile is made in 1000 and 3000 mm as well, and lengths can be joined into one run — the manufacturer lists a straight connector and angled ones at 90°, 120°, 135°, a transverse connector and a triple 3 × 120°.

What is included and what has to be bought separately

You are buying the profile alone. Cover, end caps, LED strip, driver, connectors and mounting parts are assembled separately from the same system. The cover for aria is midi in the Fractal version — opal, clear or black — pressed in from the top and offered in the same three lengths.

The end caps have no cable hole and come in ABS or in anodised or lacquered aluminium. The system also includes suspension kits, a metal SLT mounting bracket and a ø 5 mm cable holder. The driver does not fit inside the profile — the manufacturer places it outside, so it needs a spot of its own.

Mounting and limits

The profile is fixed with screws, on suspension kits, on springs or on brackets. The holes in the base are conical, so screw heads sit flush and do not lift the strip. The suspension hides inside the profile structure, and the thickened base carries heat away from the diodes.

Light leaves perpendicular to the plane of the profile. The bare profile, sold without sealing, is described by the manufacturer as IP20; IP68 is declared only once it is sealed, and no sealing parts are included. The profile is not drive-over rated — it does not belong in a floor build-up that traffic runs over.
