LANGHOLT is a linear LED pendant from Lucide's Vibes collection: a slim bar tapering towards both ends, 180 cm long and only 6.5 cm wide, made of FSC Mix 70% wood with a dark brown, walnut-toned finish. It hangs on two thin cables from a black rectangular metal ceiling plate.
Where to hang it and how to set the height
The 180 cm length is the figure to compare with the table or kitchen island it will hang over. The overall height of the fitting can be set anywhere between 30 and 158 cm, which lets you bring its lower edge to the usual 70–80 cm above a 75 cm dining table.
The ceiling plate measures 50 × 10 cm and the whole fitting weighs 3 kg. It suits a dining table, a living room and a kitchen, including a kitchen island.
How much light it gives and what kind
The integrated 28 W LED module delivers 3300 lm — enough to serve as the main light rather than just a mood light. Light leaves downwards through a narrow diffuser along the underside of the bar. The module and driver are included, but the source cannot be swapped like a bulb; the manufacturer rates it for 15,000 hours.
The colour temperature is chosen with a DIP switch on the fitting from three settings: 2200 K (very warm, amber light), 3000 K (warm white) and 4000 K (neutral white, good for working at a counter). The switch is on the lamp itself, so the colour is set during installation rather than from the wall switch. CRI 80 means sound everyday colour rendering.
Control and installation
The pendant is switched on with an ordinary wall switch. It can be dimmed, but the dimmer has to be bought separately and fitted in place of the switch. LANGHOLT is a Class I fitting, so an earth conductor must be connected, and IP20 means it is for indoor use only.
