LUMINES Claro Linear Pendant Luminaire 27W 4000K White Lacquered 60 cm

The LUMINES Claro is a linear pendant built on the white-lacquered aluminium Claro profile and closed with a milky PMMA diffuser. The bar is 61.3 cm long and hangs on two thin wires from a round ceiling rose. The mounting parts come in the box.

How big the bar is and where to hang it

The profile is 61.3 cm long, 4.3 cm wide and 7.3 cm high, so it draws a narrow, definite line rather than a volume. Above a tabletop at 75 cm, the bottom of the luminaire usually sits 70–80 cm above the surface — at 61 cm long the bar covers the space for two or three people.

The milky diffuser hides the diodes along the whole length, so from below you see a continuous lit line instead of separate points. The manufacturer intends the luminaire for indoor use only.

How much light it gives and of what kind

Drawing 27 W, the luminaire puts out 3270 lm of total flux, of which 2680 lm falls inside a 120° cone. That is general-lighting territory for a small room rather than a decorative accent. The beam angle is 100°, so the light spreads wide rather than in a narrow band.

4000 K is neutral white — cooler than incandescent light, with no blue cast. A colour rendering index of Ra 83 is enough over a table and in an office; where colours have to match exactly, Ra 90 and above is the choice. The luminaire cannot be dimmed.

Diodes, lifetime and running several in a row

The light source is built in for good — there is no socket and no bulb to change, and the manufacturer quotes an L70B50 lifetime above 54,000 hours, the point at which output falls to 70% of the initial value. The energy efficiency class is E.

Colour spread stays below 4 MacAdam ellipses, so several units hung in one line will not glow in different shades of white. The flicker index Pst LM is 0.3 and the stroboscopic effect index SVM is 0.04 — the lower those numbers, the less flicker shows while you work under the fitting.
