Mantra BASICO GU10 C0005 is a round recessed fitting made from aluminium with an aluminium finish. Concentric rings and a visibly brushed surface form a small silver-toned surround for one GU10 bulb. This is the round version, not the square fitting available within the same family.
Planning the opening and ceiling space
The outer diameter is 9.2 cm and the body height is 2.4 cm; the installation instructions specify an 80 mm diameter cut-out. When laying out the ceiling lights, distinguish the visible trim size from the opening required for installation. The mounting drawing shows two side springs, with the bulb and lampholder positioned above the fitting body.
The body height alone does not describe the total space needed for the bulb and electrical connections. Before cutting the openings, compare the ceiling construction with the instructions and the dimensions of your chosen light source.
A separately selected GU10 bulb
The fitting takes one GU10 LED bulb rated at a maximum of 12 W; no bulb is supplied. The 12 W figure is the permitted bulb wattage, not a fixed consumption figure for the fitting or a guarantee of brightness. Light colour, luminous flux and distribution depend on the bulb you select. Mantra lists this model as non-dimmable.
A circular detail in the lighting layout
The simple geometry and aluminium finish suit modern and minimalist interiors. This recessed fitting can form part of a ceiling lighting scheme in a living room, bedroom, kitchen or corridor, with the number of fittings and bulbs chosen for that space. A single fitting does not establish the lighting level for the whole room: placement and the characteristics of the light sources also matter.
