Lens003D45-15W is a lens for 15-watt Maytoni recessed downlights from the Dip series. It is the optical element on its own, in transparent plastic: a domed disc 45 mm across and 20.9 mm tall with a densely prismed surface, seated inside the fitting.
What it changes in the fitting
The lens gives the beam an angle of 36°. That is a narrow distribution: the light falls as a concentrated cone onto a section of the surface below the fitting rather than lifting the whole room. An angle like this is chosen to light one specific thing — a picture, a worktop, a stretch of shelving.
The lens is a separate, replaceable part of the fitting's interior, so the character of an already installed downlight can be changed without replacing the whole luminaire.
What it fits and what else is needed
The manufacturer assigns it to Dip series fittings rated at 15 W. The lens itself does not light: there are no diodes, no control gear and no mounting housing in it, so the recessed fitting is bought separately. The package holds the lens alone, weighing 14 g.
The part is made of transparent plastic; the manufacturer declares no fire rating for it and gives a five-year guarantee.
