MEAN WELL HDR-15-12 is a switching power supply from the HDR-15 series for DIN-rail mounting. It provides a 12 V DC output at a 1.25 A rated current and 15 W rated power. Its 17.5 mm-wide housing measures 17.5 × 90 × 54.5 mm, so these dimensions should be compared with the space available in the control cabinet or equipment enclosure before purchase.
Mounting and connection
The unit is designed for TS-35/7.5 or TS-35/15 rail mounting. Its input range is 85–264 V AC at 47–63 Hz, while the DC output can be adjusted from 10.8 to 13.8 V. Terminals are provided for AC L/N input and +V/−V output. The connected load must be compatible with 12 V DC, and its combined current demand must not exceed this supply’s rated current.
Operating information
The manufacturer specifies IP20 protection, class II isolation, free-air convection cooling and a power-on LED indicator. IP20 describes the enclosure and does not by itself determine a particular installation environment. The datasheet also lists short-circuit, overload and over-voltage protections and an ambient operating range of −30 to +70°C subject to the derating curve. The plastic-housed supply is specified for household control, building automation and industrial control systems.
