KINVER is a flat outdoor LED wall light with a white aluminium body (RAL 9003) and glass covers along its top and bottom edges. It shines upwards and downwards at the same time, drawing two beams of light on the wall. It projects only 3 cm from the wall.
Size and installation
The body is 17.5 cm wide and 9 cm high, and it weighs 0.47 kg. With a projection of 3 cm the light does not stick out into a walkway, so it can be mounted beside a narrow path, next to the front door or on a fence. Mounting screws are not included – choose them to suit the wall material.
The fitting is protection class I and needs a protective earth conductor. Nordlux does not allow several lights to be connected in series, so each one needs its own 230 V supply cable – worth planning for when fitting several along a façade.
What light it gives
The light source is an integrated 8.5 W LED module that cannot be replaced; the manufacturer states a lifetime of 25,000 hours. An output of 350 lm at 3000 K is warm white light – enough to mark an entrance and light up part of a façade, but not to light a whole driveway the way a floodlight does. The light cannot be dimmed, and its colour rendering index is Ra 80.
Where it can be mounted
The IP54 rating means protection against dust and against water falling from any angle, so the light can hang outdoors without a roof over it. Nordlux does not recommend it for seaside locations, where the air carries salt. The manufacturer suggests KINVER by the front entrance and along the driveway; it also works on a balcony, a fence or a façade. The form is modern and minimalist: a smooth block with rounded sides and no visible screws on the front.
