Asker 1510GR is a box-shaped Norlys outdoor wall light, 22.5 cm wide, 11 cm high and 8.5 cm deep. The body is cast aluminium, powder-coated in graphite RAL 7016. Clear textured covers of UV-stabilised polycarbonate close it at the top and bottom, so it lights upward and downward at the same time.
What light it gives
The integrated LED module draws 8.8 W and produces 840 lm, and 312 lm leaves the luminaire – less than an old 40 W bulb. This is accent light: it draws two beams on the wall, up and down, and marks an entrance or part of a facade rather than lighting a yard. The maker gives a ULOR of 50%, so half the light goes upward. 3000 K is warm white, and CRI 80 shows render and timber colours without obvious distortion.
It is phase-dimmable on both trailing edge (TE) and leading edge (LE), so it works with either type of phase dimmer, including older leading-edge ones.
Installation and wiring
The light weighs 1.34 kg and is screwed to the wall through two ø5 mm holes on a 180 × 60 mm pattern. The terminals take conductors up to 3×2.5 mm², and the next luminaire can be looped through with up to 3×1.5 mm², so several lights along a facade run from one supply line. The gland takes round cable 7–10.5 mm in diameter. It is protection class I, which means it needs an earth conductor. According to the maker, 158 of these fit on one B10 circuit breaker and 250 on a B16.
Durability, service and use
IP65 means dust-tight and protected against water jets, and IK08 gives impact resistance by an entrance or a fence. The LED module is replaced by a qualified technician (service kit ZS1510zx0016), and the maker states an L70 lifetime above 55,000 h.
Norlys designed it for lighting walls and facades. It suits a house facade, a balcony, a fence, the garden, and hotels and restaurants. The plain geometric body without ornament fits a modern style.
