Astrid 2205 is a 55 cm garden bollard with a 14 × 14 cm section, made from an extruded aluminium profile with vertical fluting. The body is powder-coated in a corten-steel colour (close to RAL 8011) — a rusty brown shade that is a paint finish, not actual rust. The top is a milky PMMA diffuser that spreads the light sideways.
What light it gives
The luminaire draws 10.6 W and emits 192 lm at 3000 K, a warm white. That is less than a quarter of the output of an old 60 W bulb, so Astrid marks the edge of a path or driveway and gives orientation after dark rather than lighting the whole garden. The milky diffuser hides the individual LEDs, so the bollard does not dazzle from close by.
It can be phase-dimmed with either a trailing-edge (TE) or a leading-edge (LE) dimmer, so it works with newer RC dimmers as well as older RL ones. The light source is a built-in Osram LED module, not a bulb. Norlys rates the module at L80B50 above 70,000 h and the driver at 100,000 h.
Installation and wiring
The bollard fixes with three bolts through ø9 mm holes set at 120° on a ø65 mm circle. Ground fixings are bought separately: concrete-in anchor 205, ground anchor 206, concrete foundation adapter 206S or mounting adapter 3080GA.
The terminals take conductors up to 3 × 2.5 mm², and the supply cable can be up to 12.5 mm in diameter. Fittings are looped with conductors up to 3 × 2.5 mm²; Norlys states that up to 46 bollards fit on one B10 circuit breaker and up to 75 on a B16, enough for a long row along a path. It is a protection class I luminaire and needs a protective earth. IP65 means a dust-tight housing that withstands water jets, and IK10 is the highest impact rating, which matters beside a driveway or a lawn that gets mowed.
Where it fits
Astrid suits a garden, a terrace, the side of a driveway and the approach from the street. Norlys describes the design as modern, and the plain fluted post without ornament also fits a Scandinavian style.
