The Astrid 2225GR is an 85 cm garden bollard made from an extruded aluminium profile with a rounded-square 14 × 14 cm cross-section, powder-coated in graphite (RAL 7016). The profile is fluted vertically along its whole height, and in the upper section an opal PMMA diffuser glows behind the ribs.
How much light, and what kind
The LED module and driver are built in, so there is no bulb to buy. The module is rated at 2163 lm, but 362 lm leaves the fitting at 14.6 W — that second figure is the one that tells you how much light reaches the path. That level marks out walkways and bed edges rather than lighting a whole yard. 3000 K is warm white, and the light is diffused: half the flux goes up and half goes down.
The fitting can be dimmed with an ordinary phase dimmer, trailing edge (TE) or leading edge (LE). Norlys rates the LED module at over 70,000 h (L80B50) and the driver at 100,000 h, and offers a service kit for replacing parts.
Installation and wiring
The bollard weighs 6.24 kg and fixes through three ø9 mm holes spaced at 120° on a ø65 mm circle. Ground fixings are bought separately: for this model Norlys offers a concrete-in anchor, a ground anchor, a concrete-foundation adapter and a mounting adapter.
The terminals take conductors up to 3 × 2.5 mm² and allow looping through to the next bollard — a row of fittings along a path can run from one cable of up to 12.5 mm diameter. The fitting is protection class I, so it needs an earth conductor, and it should be installed by a qualified electrician.
Where it fits
IP65 means a dust-tight housing protected against water jets, so the bollard stands in the garden without any cover. The IK10 impact rating is the top of that scale, meaning the housing's highest resistance to mechanical impact. The manufacturer intends it for terraces, driveways and paths, and for the grounds of hotels and restaurants.
