Norlys Lillehammer DC1583CG LED Outdoor Wall Light, Cement Grey, 24 V DC, 4° Up-Down Beam, IP65

Lillehammer DC1583CG is an outdoor wall light shaped as an upright block of cast aluminium, powder-coated in cement grey (RAL 7033). The body is 18.5 cm tall and 11 cm wide, and it projects 8 cm from the wall. Windows of optical safety glass in the top and bottom faces let out two narrow beams — one upward, one downward.

What light it gives

Each beam is only 4° wide, so the fitting does not light its surroundings; it draws two sharp vertical lines of light on the façade. That explains figures that are easy to mistake for an error: the two LED modules produce 1064 lm in total, while 32 lm leaves the luminaire at a peak intensity of 377 cd. It is an effect for pilasters, corners and the rhythm of a façade, not lighting for an entrance or a driveway — the Lillehammer family has wider-beam models for that.

3000 K is a warm white, and CRI 80 with SDCM 3 means a consistent tone from one fitting to the next in a row. The manufacturer rates the modules at over 52,600 h to 90% of initial flux (L90) and over 102,000 h to 80% (L80). The LED module can be replaced by a qualified service — Norlys lists a service kit for this luminaire.

24 V DC supply

This is a low-voltage, protection class III fitting: it needs an external voltage-stabilised 24 V DC power supply, which is not included and is sized for the whole installation. The LED module is suitable for dimming, but the fitting has no control gear of its own — brightness is regulated at the power supply, as the installation design specifies.

Fixing

The light is fixed with two screws through ø5 mm holes spaced 45 × 130 mm and weighs 1.75 kg. The terminals take conductors up to 2 × 2.5 mm² and allow looping the supply on to the next fitting (up to 2 × 1.5 mm²), and an EPDM gland seals a round cable of 7–10.5 mm diameter. IP65 means a dust-tight housing protected against water jets, so the light can hang on a wall with no canopy; IK08 describes its impact resistance.
