NORLYS LILLEHAMMER 1583AL is an outdoor wall light with a tall rectangular body and two exceptionally narrow beams. The AL version has an aluminium-coloured RAL 9006 finish. Its housing is powder-coated cast aluminium, with optical covers made from safety glass.
A defined line above and below the fitting
Light is directed upwards and downwards at a beam angle of 4° in each direction. This is a narrow architectural effect rather than a broad wash of light: the 1583 marks vertical sections of a wall instead of illuminating a large area evenly. It can provide this kind of accent on a house, hotel or restaurant façade, or on a wall adjoining a terrace or balcony.
The two LED modules produce warm white light at 3000K. Output from the complete fitting is 30 lm. The separate 1008 lm figure describes the light sources before the optics and must not be mistaken for the luminaire's output. When planning a scheme, distinguish the decorative pattern on the wall from the illumination needed on a path or outdoor seating area.
Size and architectural character
The body measures 18.5 cm high and 8 cm wide, projecting 11 cm from the wall. Compare that projection with the available clearance and the height with the façade's proportions before choosing a mounting position. Flat surfaces and the absence of ornamental arms give the fitting a restrained appearance suited to modern, modernist, minimalist and pared-back Scandinavian architecture. RAL 9006 identifies this finish, not the black version from the same family.
The manufacturer confirms IP65 protection and IK08 impact resistance for this version. These ratings are relevant to selecting an exterior fitting alongside the installation requirements; appearance alone cannot establish outdoor protection.
Control and source replacement
The complete fitting consumes 7.3W, including 5.6W for the LED sources. It runs on 220–240V and supports trailing-edge phase dimming. Any dimmer must be suitable for that control method. The LED modules are part of the fitting, so conventional screw-in bulbs are not required.
Replacement of the LED modules and control gear is assigned to professional servicing, not a user bulb change. A qualified installer should carry out mounting and electrical connection in accordance with the supplied instructions. The fixing uses two holes of 5 mm diameter.
