NORLYS Lillehammer 1581BL is an outdoor wall light shaped as a slim rectangular block that shines upwards and downwards at the same time. The cast aluminium body is powder-coated black (RAL 9005), with windows of optical safety glass in its top and bottom faces.
Size and place on the wall
The fitting is 18.5 cm high and 8 cm wide and projects 11 cm from the wall, so it fits on a narrow pillar, beside a door frame or between windows. The manufacturer intends it for lighting walls, facades and architectural details; it also suits balconies and the entrances of hotels or restaurants. IP65 allows mounting on an unsheltered wall, and the IK08 impact rating protects it against knocks.
What light it gives
Two Cree LED modules work at 3000 K – a warm white close to a traditional incandescent bulb – with colour rendering of CRI 80. Each beam is 60°, so the wall gets two bands of light, one up and one down; the manufacturer states ULOR 50%. The modules produce 1008 lm and 229 lm leaves the fitting for 7.3 W of power. That is enough to pick out a facade, a pillar or an entrance, not to light a whole driveway.
The light is phase-dimmable, but only with a trailing-edge (TE) dimmer; an older leading-edge dimmer will not work with it.
Mounting, wiring and service
It is fixed through two ø5 mm holes spaced 45 x 130 mm. It is protection class I, so it needs an earth conductor. The terminals take conductors up to 3 x 2.5 mm² and allow the next wall light to be fed in a loop (up to 3 x 1.5 mm²), so several fittings on one facade can share one line; the EPDM gland takes cable 7–10.5 mm in diameter. The LED modules and driver are replaced by a professional service, and Norlys offers service kit ZS1581 for this fitting. The manufacturer rates the modules at over 52,600 h (L90) and the driver at 50,000 h.
