Nidaros 2121GR is a cylindrical outdoor ceiling light, 18 cm tall and 12 cm in diameter, made of cast aluminium powder-coated in graphite (RAL 7016). Its underside is closed by clear safety glass, behind which the reflector around the LED module is visible.
What light it gives
The luminaire shines downwards only, with a 24° beam, and its ULOR is 0% — no light goes up into the sky or onto the ceiling. From 2.5 m, the height the manufacturer calculated the photometry for, that beam draws a bright patch roughly a metre across on the ground: accent lighting for an entrance, steps or a section of wall, not for a whole terrace.
The luminaire delivers 754 lm at 8.3 W, roughly what a traditional 60 W bulb gave. 3000 K is warm white, while CRI 80 and SDCM3 mean sound colour rendering and a consistent tint between several fittings mounted side by side.
Light source and dimming
The LED module (Philips Fortimo) and driver are built in, so there is nothing else to buy. The module is replaceable by a professional service only; the manufacturer rates it at over 50,000 h to 80% of initial flux. It dims on a phase dimmer — both trailing-edge (TE) and leading-edge (LE) — so it also suits older installations.
Installation and operating conditions
The fitting fixes to a horizontal surface at two fixing points, and the manufacturer intends it among other things for lighting walls and facades, for terraces, gazebos and hotel and restaurant grounds. IP65 means dust-tight and protected against water jets, so it runs outdoors without cover. Protection class I requires an earth connection. The terminals take 3 × 2.5 mm² conductors and allow the supply to be looped on to the next luminaire (through-wiring up to 1.5 mm²). It weighs 1.47 kg; the 3084XX0009 spacer for standing it off the surface is sold separately.
