Nidaros 2128GR is a cylindrical outdoor ceiling light 12 cm in diameter and 23 cm tall, made of cast aluminium with a graphite powder coat (RAL 7016). Light leaves through the bottom, via clear safety glass set into the lower rim. The plain, smooth body without ornament gives it a minimalist form.
How it lights
The fitting produces a narrow 24° beam aimed straight down, and ULOR 0% means no light goes upwards. The manufacturer intends it for mounting on horizontal surfaces, among other things for lighting walls and façades — the narrow cone draws a clearly defined circle on the ground or surface below instead of spilling into the surroundings. It suits a covered terrace or a garden gazebo — anywhere with a ceiling to screw it to.
The LED module shines at 2700 K, a warm, slightly yellowish light close to a traditional incandescent bulb. Luminaire output is 753 lm at 7.9 W — about what an old 60 W bulb gave, but concentrated into a tight cone. CRI 80 is enough for a path or an entrance, and SDCM3 keeps the tint consistent across several fittings in one row.
Dimming and service
The light can be dimmed with a phase dimmer, both trailing edge (TE) and leading edge (LE). The LED module and driver are built in, and the manufacturer provides for their replacement by a professional service only. Module lifetime is rated L70 above 50,000 h, the driver at 50,000 h.
Installation
The fitting is fixed through two holes following the enclosed instructions. The terminals take conductors up to 3 × 2.5 mm², or up to 1.5 mm² when fittings are looped; the round cable should be 7–10.5 mm in diameter. It is protection class I, so it needs a protective earth. IP65 means a dust-tight housing protected against water jets, and IK06 resistance to a 1 J impact. The light weighs 1.5 kg; the 3084XX0009 spacer is sold separately by the manufacturer.
