Nidaros 2122WH is a cylindrical outdoor ceiling light 12 cm in diameter and 23 cm tall, made of die-cast aluminium powder-coated white (RAL 9003). Its underside is closed by clear safety glass, behind which an integrated LED module shines downward only.
What light it gives
The light draws 8.3 W and delivers 754 lm at 3000 K — warm white. That is roughly an old 60 W bulb, but concentrated into a narrow 24° beam: it puts a well-defined pool of light on the wall or the ground below rather than lighting the whole surroundings evenly. All of the output goes downward (ULOR 0%), so none of it is thrown at the sky. Colour rendering is Ra 80.
It can be dimmed with a phase dimmer — Norlys states compatibility with both trailing-edge (TE) and leading-edge (LE) dimming, in other words with both types of TRIAC dimmer.
Where to mount it
Norlys intends it for horizontal surfaces, from where the narrow beam lights the wall or facade below. IP65 means fully dust-tight and protected against water jets, so it can run outdoors with no extra cover.
It is fixed through two holes. The terminals take conductors up to 3 × 2.5 mm² and allow the supply to be looped on to the next light (loop-through up to 1.5 mm²); the gland seals a cable 7–10.5 mm in diameter. The light is protection class I, so it must be connected to earth. Norlys sells the 3084 mounting spacer separately.
Light source and service life
The Philips Fortimo LED module and driver are built in, so there is no bulb to buy. Norlys gives a module life of L80B20 over 50,000 h and a driver life of 50,000 h; once worn, both the module and the driver are replaced by a service technician, so the fitting itself does not have to be thrown away.
