OTTAWA is a directional outdoor fitting: a short arm rising from a round base plate with a cone-shaped head that swivels on it. The body is lacquered aluminium in graphite, and glass closes the front of the head.

How much room it takes and where it mounts

The maker intends the fitting for a wall or a ceiling — it fixes directly to the surface through its round base. On a wall it stands out between 26 and 43.5 cm depending on how far the head is tilted, and measures 20.5 cm across.

Those 26–43.5 cm are worth comparing with the width of the passage where it is going: above a door or a gate the fitting reaches into the space people walk past. It weighs 0.47 kg, so the load on the wall is not a concern.

Which bulb you have to buy

The fitting takes one GU10 bulb and works on 220–230 V. The maker allows LED bulbs only, up to 10 W — an ordinary GU10 halogen of the same wattage is ruled out explicitly on the catalogue card.

No bulb is supplied, so output and colour of the light are settled when you buy one. The swivelling head aims the narrow beam where it is meant to land — at the house wall, at the door, or at a stretch of the drive.

Installing it outdoors
