Outdoor floodlight Lutec DRACO 7622220012 LED 19W black with camera and motion sensor IP44

The Draco 7622220012 is a twin-head outdoor floodlight with a built-in camera. Both heads, with clear prismatic covers, swivel independently, and a module with the camera and the motion sensor sits below them. The body is cast aluminium in matt black and the covers are clear polycarbonate.

What the camera and the sensor cover

The camera records in Full HD 1080p at a wide angle and swivels through 180°, so one unit covers the full width of a driveway or an entrance. Footage is stored on a micro SD card, which is included. The module also holds an intercom unit — the conversation with whoever is at the door runs through the phone.

The motion sensor has a 180° detection angle and an 18 m detection distance. The manufacturer states it is adjustable, so the angle and the range can be narrowed when the fitting keeps reacting to the street instead of the gate. The live view, the recordings and the light are all controlled from the Lutec Connect app.

How much light the two heads give

The fitting puts out 1200 lm, roughly one and a half times a former 60 W bulb — except that the light is split into two beams you aim separately. The LED module itself produces 2150 lm; reflectors and covers hold the rest back. Power draw is 19 W.

5000 K is cool, distinctly white light, and contrast in the recording is higher at that colour than under warm white. Ra 80 is enough to tell the colour of a jacket or a car. Brightness is dimmed from the Lutec Connect app or with a remote bought separately. The LED module is integrated and is not swapped like a bulb.

Where it fits and how it is supplied

The fitting is 23.4 cm wide and 19 cm high and projects 15.8 cm from the wall — that is the room needed above a door or a garage door, including clearance for swivelling the heads. Net weight is 0.874 kg.

IP44 protects against splashing water from any direction but not against a jet: the place for this fitting is under an eave or on a wall sheltered from driving rain. Supply 230 V, protection class I — the circuit needs an earth conductor. The unit stays connected to the home network and draws 0.50 W in standby. The operating range runs from -20 to +50 °C.
