Halden 5097AL is a quarter-sphere outdoor wall light in powder-coated cast aluminium, finished in light grey (RAL 9006). Its underside is closed by a clear, UV-stabilised polycarbonate diffuser with a moulded optical structure. The LED module and driver are built in, so there is no bulb to buy.
Size and mounting
According to the manufacturer's drawing the light is 31 cm wide and 15 cm high, projects 15.5 cm from the wall and weighs 1.64 kg. It mounts on an intermediate plate with two 7×10 mm adjustment slots 100 mm apart – the slots let you level the fitting after the holes are drilled.
The terminals take conductors up to 5×2.5 mm², and up to 5×1.5 mm² when looped through, so several lights on one facade can run on a single supply cable. The cable gland seals a round cable 7–10.5 mm in diameter. It is protection class I, so it must be connected to the protective earth.
What light it gives
Light spreads hemispherically downwards, and the structured diffuser scatters it to limit glare – the manufacturer uses the wall itself as a reflecting surface. The luminaire draws 8.8 W and delivers 696 lm, roughly what an old 60 W bulb gave (about 800 lm). 4000 K is neutral white, and CRI 80 is standard colour rendering. Norlys names lighting facades, pillars and fences as typical uses.
Control is DALI2/TD, so dimming requires a DALI installation with a controller; the five terminals let the control line run alongside the supply.
Durability
IP65 means dust-tight and protected against water jets from any direction, and IK10 is resistance to a 20 J impact, the top of that scale. The manufacturer rates the Philips Fortimo LED module at L70 over 50,000 h and the driver at 100,000 h.
