Outdoor wall light Nora 2483AL aluminium LED 15 W 2700 K - Norlys

The Nora 2483AL is an outdoor wall light shaped as a flat, square body 13 × 13 cm and 5 cm deep, in an aluminium finish (RAL 9006). The body is powder-coated cast aluminium, and light leaves through narrow windows of clear safety glass, upwards and downwards.

How much light it gives, and what kind

Two LED modules deliver 1043 lm together at 15 W. Half of the flux (ULOR 50%) goes up and half goes down, so the wall gets two beams of light – above and below the fitting. The manufacturer designs it for lighting walls, facades and architectural details.

One thing matters when comparing brightness: the power is set with a switch on the driver between 10.9 and 15 W, and the fitting leaves the factory at 10.9 W. The 1043 lm figure belongs to the 15 W setting, so the switch has to be moved during installation to get it.

2700 K is warm, slightly yellow light close to a traditional bulb, at CRI 80. The luminaire is phase-dimmable with a trailing-edge or leading-edge dimmer, bought separately. The LED modules and driver are replaced by a professional service; the manufacturer rates the driver at 50,000 h.

Installation and wiring

The light fixes to the wall through two ø5 mm holes spaced 63 × 112 mm. The terminals take conductors up to 3 × 2.5 mm² and allow looping through (up to 3 × 1.5 mm²), so several fittings along a facade can run on one supply line. The cable needs a round sheath 7–10.5 mm in diameter.

On a longer run the inrush current matters: according to the manufacturer, one B 10 A circuit breaker takes 37 of these lights, B 16 A takes 60, C 10 A takes 62 and C 16 A takes 102. Protection class I means the circuit must include a protective earth. Installation is carried out by a suitably qualified person.

Outdoor durability

IP65 means dust-tight and protected against water jets, so the light can hang on an exposed wall. IK09 is a high impact rating for the housing. The gasket is silicone, and the fitting weighs 0.85 kg.
