Paul Neuhaus RIKA 2112-18 LED pendant light, black with smoked shade, 15 cm Limited Offer

Paul Neuhaus RIKA 2112-18 is a single pendant light with a black ceiling canopy and a cylindrical smoked shade. A lighter inner diffuser remains visible through the dark outer cover, giving the fitting a distinctly layered appearance when illuminated. The manufacturer lists plastic as the material for this version.

A 15 cm shade with movable suspension

The shade measures 15 cm across, while the overall hanging height can be adjusted from 50 to 180 cm. The maximum figure describes the complete suspension rather than the height of the shade itself. Comfort Lift uses a roll-spring mechanism to reposition the lamp head, so height adjustment is an explicit feature, not an assumption based on cable length.

Compare the adjustment range with your ceiling height and the position of the table or worktop before choosing the mounting point. The small diameter suits a single local pool of light; several separate pendants can also be planned along a kitchen island. This particular RIKA has one light point, rather than a multi-lamp ceiling arrangement.

Light output and Simply Dim control

The LED light source is included. The manufacturer specifies 6 W, 680 lm and a colour temperature of 3000 K, placing the light in the warm-white range. Consider the area to be illuminated when deciding how many fittings to use: one compact pendant should not automatically be treated as a replacement for a whole room's lighting scheme.

Simply Dim provides smooth brightness adjustment through the light switch. A memory function retains the last setting. Moving the shade and changing its brightness are separate operations: Comfort Lift controls the physical position, while Simply Dim controls the light intensity.

Where its compact form makes sense

The cylindrical shade, slender suspension and black-and-smoked finish support modern and minimalist interiors. RIKA can provide local lighting above a dining table, part of a kitchen island or a small table in a living room. A position beside a bed is another option, provided the hanging height and surrounding clearance are checked first.
