SLV NUMINOS PD DALI M is a pendant light shaped as a matt white aluminium cylinder, 8.5 cm in diameter and 18.5 cm high. The reflector is black inside, and the light hangs on a 250 cm cable below a round 10.3 cm canopy.

Size and suspension

At 8.5 cm across it is slim enough to hang several in a row, for example above a kitchen island, which is the use it is listed for in our catalogue. The cable is 250 cm long, so under a typical ceiling it will need shortening; the manufacturer's instructions describe exactly that, with the electrician disconnecting the cores, cutting the cable and reconnecting it. The light weighs 1.15 kg.

What light it gives

The integrated LED module draws 13 W and gives 1750 lm, and the manufacturer quotes an efficiency of 134.62 lm/W. The 36° beam gathers the light into a clear pool beneath the lamp rather than spreading it round the room, so it lights the worktop below rather than the whole space. 2700 K is a warm, slightly yellow light, and CRI 90 means food and materials on the counter keep their true colours. UGR 16 indicates low glare when looking towards the fitting.

The light source and driver are built in, so it runs directly from a 200–240 V supply in protection class I, meaning with an earth conductor. Only a professional may replace the module or driver; the manufacturer rates it at 50,000 hours.

DALI control

The light dims via DALI or the Touch function. Besides the mains wires, a pair of DALI control wires (terminals DA) has to be run to the fitting and connected to a DALI controller or dimmer. It is intended for dry indoor spaces only.
