The CAMARI LE62150 is a recessed downlight in satin black. Once it is in, all that stays visible is the round matt rim 6 cm across and the deeply set lens. The rest disappears above the ceiling: a smooth tube running into an aluminium heat sink with transverse fins.

How much room it needs above the ceiling

The body is 8.5 cm tall and 6 cm across. Compare the first figure with the space left between a suspended ceiling and the structural slab — apart from the rim the whole fitting sits above the board and nothing projects into the room.

Two spring clips on the sides of the body hold it in the cut-out. This is the same fixing as on an ordinary downlight: the springs brace against the board from above, so no separate frame or bracket is needed.

How much light it gives, and what kind

The built-in LED module draws 12 W and delivers 738 lm — about what an old 60 W incandescent bulb gave at roughly 800 lm. That light sits in a 36° beam, though, so it lands as a pool under the fitting instead of spreading evenly through the room. 4000 K is neutral white, with no yellow cast.

The manufacturer states colour rendering above Ra 90, so colours look almost as they do in daylight — that counts over a worktop and on displayed objects. Glare stays below UGR 19, the limit set for screen workplaces. The module is integrated and cannot be replaced; the manufacturer rates it at 50 000 hours.

Build and supply

The body is aluminium, finished throughout in matt satin black including the inside of the tube, so the edge of the cut-out throws no light back at the viewer. The transverse fins of the heat sink pass the module's heat into the space above the ceiling where the fitting sits.

The fitting has one light point and runs on 230 V mains. The manufacturer gives it a five-year warranty.
