Rendl GORDIQ L R12537 is a white recessed wall light for orientation lighting. Its rectangular frame surrounds a recessed light opening, while the main body fits behind the mounting surface. This version has an integrated 3 W LED with a warm-white colour temperature of 3000 K.
Downward light beside steps and terraces
Rendl identifies paths, stairs and terraces as suitable applications. GORDIQ L must be installed with the light directed downwards only. This matters when planning the openings in the wall: turning the fitting upside down to shine upwards is not an alternative installation intended for this model.
The stated light output is 90 lm. It is an orientation light for a selected part of the space, rather than a replacement for the main lighting of an entire terrace. Consider the position of each fitting relative to the steps and the route of the path instead of expecting a single light point to illuminate a large area uniformly. Its IP65 rating supports outdoor use but does not permit immersion in water.
Allow room for the recessed body
The front is 14 cm long. The specified mounting opening measures 11.5 × 5 cm, with a required recess depth of 6 cm. Check these dimensions against the available space behind the wall before ordering. The visible frame dimensions and the opening needed for the body are not the same measurement.
The fitting operates at 230 V and includes a transformer. There is no separate bulb to select, because the LED source is integrated. The installation manual requires a qualified installer and isolation of the power supply before work begins.
A simple white face
The smooth frame and horizontal recess give the fitting a restrained modern appearance without decorative detailing. White is the finish of R12537; the anthracite-grey GORDIQ L is a separate variant. Choose this version by both the visible front colour and the feasibility of preparing the specified mounting recess.
