Samara table lamp - 2 light sources - Tinted glass Quintiesse

Quintiesse Samara QN-SAMARA-TL-SMK is a table lamp with a rounded, textured body made from smoke-tinted blown glass. Polished nickel metalwork links it to a light grey Hepplewhite faux silk shade. A second light source inside the glass body can operate independently of the bulb beneath the shade.

Separate light for the shade and glass

The upper E27 socket accepts a bulb rated up to 60 W; choose that bulb separately. A 7 W GU10 LED is supplied for the glass base. Its specified output is 620 lm at 3000 K. These figures describe the supplied LED, not the combined output of the table lamp once an E27 bulb has been fitted.

A four-position rotary switch on the metal cap provides off, shade only, base only and both lights together. This lets you illuminate the textured glass without also switching on the light beneath the shade. Conversely, the upper light can be used while the base remains unlit. The two sources serve different parts of the lamp rather than forming a single integrated LED module.

Allow room for the wider shade

The overall height is 715 mm and the shade reaches 457 mm in diameter. Although the base is 300 mm in diameter, its footprint alone does not describe the space the lamp occupies. On a sideboard or side table, compare the shade's width with the depth of the surface and the distance to the wall before choosing a position.

The shade is 265 mm high and narrows to 380 mm at the top. Samara uses a cable and plug rather than a wall or ceiling connection. Keep access to a socket and to the rotary switch in mind when planning its placement.

A traditional outline with visible glass texture

The rounded glass, repeated relief pattern, reflective nickel and fabric shade suit classic, modern classic and glamour interiors. Samara can provide supplementary lighting in a living room, bedroom or study, or sit on a sideboard in a dining room or hallway. The smoke glass belongs to the base, not the shade: the latter is light grey fabric, giving the two illuminated areas different appearances.
