Skara 2943AL NORLYS LED Bollard Light 85 cm with 230 V Sockets Silver

Skara 2943AL is an 85 cm garden bollard built from a slim painted aluminium profile of 12 × 24 cm section. A chamfered head carrying a group of lenses aimed down and forward sits on top, and two 230 V socket outlets under hinged covers are set into the front of the column at about mid height.

The manufacturer calls this version an energy distributor, ~230 V type E [Uni] — the same socket standard as the house wiring. That makes the bollard a power point in the garden as well as a light: a mower, a pond pump or Christmas lighting plugs in at the path instead of running off an extension lead from the house.

Terminals are specified separately, up to 2 × 4 mm² for the luminaire and up to 3 × 4 mm² for the sockets, both of them able to loop through to the next bollard. The cable needs a round sheath no more than 12,5 mm across.

How much light it gives and where

The LED module is built in permanently and produces 828 lm, of which 699 lm leaves the luminaire at 7,7 W. That is a little under what a traditional 60 W bulb delivered, but spread asymmetrically: the Ledil SCL lens with IESNA Type II / III distribution throws light along a path rather than all around.

3000 K is warm white, and a colour rendering index of Ra 80 is enough to find your way and to pick out planting beside a walkway. The luminaire can be dimmed, but it needs a trailing-edge phase dimmer — the DALI2-controlled version is a separate index in the family.

Fixing and durability

The bollard bolts down through four ø7 mm holes on a 64 × 64 mm pattern. The concreting anchor is not included — the manufacturer carries it as its own article, index 2934.

The housing is rated IP54, so it takes rain and dust, with IK08 impact resistance. The luminaire is protection class II and therefore needs no earth conductor. Net weight is 6,00 kg and gross weight 6,50 kg.
