NUMINOS ZOOM M DALI is a three-circuit track spotlight with a continuously adjustable beam from 15° to 60°, in white, rated 20 W at 4000 K and dimmable to the DALI standard.

Zoom – one spotlight instead of three

This is the feature the model is bought for. The beam angle is set mechanically on the fitting itself, anywhere from a narrow 15° to a wide 60°. In practice it means the optic does not have to be chosen at ordering time – and that is the commonest mistake in display-lighting design, because the angle is best judged on site, with the goods in place.

Output changes with the angle: from 780 lm at 15° to 1900 lm at 60°. That is not a fault but the physics of an adjustable optic – narrowing the beam works by cutting part of the flux, yet what remains falls on a smaller area and gives a far higher intensity at the centre of the pool. The narrow setting lifts a single object out of a dark background; the wide one lights a shelving unit or a sales zone evenly.

DALI control

The fitting dims to the DALI standard – a digital, addressable protocol. For a shop or gallery that is a meaningful difference from phase dimming: every fitting can be addressed individually, scenes can be built and changed without touching the wiring. It does require a DALI controller and a separate pair of control conductors, and that belongs in the installation stage, not after it.

Three-circuit track

The spotlight is made for three-circuit track in the EUTRAC (Eurostandard) format. Three circuits allow fittings on the same track to be split into independently switched groups – display and general lighting separately, for instance. The fitting does not fit single-circuit track or low-voltage magnetic systems.

The head is rotatable and tiltable, so after mounting the direction is set freely and changed with every new display.

4000 K and CRI 90

Neutral white 4000 K with CRI 90 colour rendering is the combination typical of retail and office space: the colours of goods look credible while the room turns neither yellow nor clinically cold. Glare index UGR ≤ 25, photobiological risk group 1, rated life 40,000 h.
