TECHNO I 9145 is a wall lamp whose entire point is reach. A straight, slender arm leaves a 7.5 cm round wall plate, and at its end β on a knuckle joint β sits a 25 cm conical shade. Together the fitting projects 70 cm from the wall. This is not a compact wall light; it is a tool for carrying light out into the room.
What 70 cm is for
An ordinary wall lamp lights the wall it hangs on. This one reaches over whatever stands in front of that wall β over a bed head and an open book, over a kitchen worktop, over a reading chair, over a dining table where there is no way to run a ceiling circuit. The arm is 41 cm and the shade, cantilevered past its end, supplies the rest of the reach. That geometry is the only reason to choose this lamp over a cheaper disc-shaped one β and equally the thing to check before buying: in a narrow hallway, 70 cm is an obstacle rather than a feature.
A tilting shade
The shade sits on a knuckle joint and tilts, marked with a rotation arrow on the manufacturer's own dimension drawing. You can aim the light sharply down onto a worktop, or angle it back towards the wall for a soft reflected wash. The cone is black outside and white inside β the black keeps light from scattering sideways, the white bounces it downward, so the contrast between body and beam is sharp and deliberate.
An E27 lamp β up to 25 W, LED only
The fitting ships without a light source. Its E27 socket takes a lamp of at most 25 W and in LED technology only β that is a limit of the socket, not the power of the luminaire. Do not fit a halogen or filament bulb of comparable wattage: the metal cone has no ventilation openings, and the manufacturer's limit assumes the low heat output of diodes. In practice a 25 W diode is a great deal of light for a single point β a typical E27 LED for a lamp like this is 6β12 W.
Installation
It mounts on a bridge bracket screwed to the back box. The luminaire is protection class I and therefore needs an earth conductor β worth checking in an older installation with no PE core. No mounting kit is included: plugs and screws are chosen to suit the wall material. The lamp weighs 1.37 kg, but the moment on the anchor is greater than that figure suggests β the weight hangs 70 cm from the fixing point, so plasterboard calls for expanding anchors rather than plain plugs.
Finish
The body is painted steel. The manufacturer names the exact paints: the black is P013 in RAL 9005, the white shade lining P001, RAL 9003. It is a deep matt black with no sheen, which sits well beside raw timber, brick and metal β placing the lamp squarely in industrial and loft territory. IP20 confines it to dry interiors.
