White twin recessed GU10 fitting V-TAC VT-439

The V-TAC VT-439 is a white rectangular ceiling fitting designed for recessed installation. One frame holds two circular positions for replaceable lamps with GU10 caps. The body combines iron and polycarbonate, while the part that remains visible after fitting has a uniform white finish. Lamps are not included, so two GU10 light sources must be selected before the fitting can be used.

Fitting size and ceiling cut-out

The outer frame measures 175 × 88 mm and the body is 30 mm high. V-TAC lists a separate cut-out size of 160 × 75 mm. The difference means the visible rim overlaps the opening; the dimensional drawing clearly distinguishes the overall fitting dimensions from the hole that has to be cut.

The rear-view photograph shows spring mounting elements on both sides of the body. The instructions require the supply to be isolated before work begins, the electrical connection to be made by a suitably qualified person and an approved terminal block to be used. These details need to be considered before cutting the rectangular opening in the ceiling.

Two GU10 light points

The fitting has two GU10 lamp holders but contains no light sources. Brightness, colour temperature, beam angle and dimming capability therefore depend on the two lamps selected, not on the VT-439 frame itself. If both positions are intended to produce matching light, the two GU10 lamps need the same relevant specifications.

GU10 is a genuine cap and holder specification here, not a label for an integrated LED module. The light sources are replaceable. Before changing either lamp, the manual says to disconnect the fitting from the power supply and wait for the lamps to cool.

Materials and intended locations

The housing is made from iron and polycarbonate. A white rectangular plate surrounds the two round holders, and a close-up image shows the edge and spring clips. V-TAC identifies homes, hotels, restaurants and commercial premises as intended settings.

The IP20 rating and instructions limit installation to dry indoor areas and require protection from moisture and accidental water ingress. Before cleaning, disconnect the power, allow the fitting to cool and use a soft, slightly damp cloth. It should only be switched on again after it has dried completely.
