BOSTON is a pendant light with seven light points hung on separate cables of differing lengths. The canopy is a matt black star of three crossed arms, from which slender gold cones descend, each ending in a clear diffuser.
Seven cables at different heights – that is the whole idea
The shades do not hang in one plane. Each of the seven has its own drop, which makes the piece three-dimensional and puts light at several levels at once. Over a dining table that produces something no single shade can: the top is lit at several points, while the gaps between the cones leave you able to see the person across the table.
An 88–168 cm height range
Eighty centimetres of adjustment is not cosmetic. At 88 cm the fitting suits a standard 2.5 m ceiling; at 168 cm it drops low over a table in a room with a high ceiling or an open space with a mezzanine. The canopy spans 81 x 81 cm – this is designed for a large table or a kitchen island, not a coffee table.
Matt black and "French gold"
The pairing is deliberate: the matt black structure disappears against the ceiling and reflects nothing, so all you see are the warmly lit gold cones. The manufacturer names the shade "French gold" – a warmer, brass-leaning gold, neither yellow nor mirror-bright. The metal is combined with an acrylic element in the shade, which diffuses the diode's light.
Built-in LED – with a service caveat
The sources are permanently built in and supplied with the fitting: a combined 42 W gives 3,850 lm in warm white 3000 K. Worth knowing: the manufacturer states plainly in the assembly instructions that both the LED module and the driver are replaceable by professional service only – this is not a fitting where the owner changes a bulb.
