Asker 1310CB is a garden bollard shaped like an inverted L: a rectangular profile 55 cm tall, 20 cm deep and 11 cm wide, finished with an overhanging head. The body is a painted aluminium casting in Copper Brown — a copper-brown paint, not copper.

Dimming: it needs a trailing-edge dimmer

This is the dimmable version of the Asker, and that is what separates it from the rest of the family. The maker names the control method precisely: trailing-edge phase dimming, that is an RC dimmer, also sold as "for capacitive loads".

The distinction is practical rather than formal. An older leading-edge dimmer, the kind sold for incandescent lamps and iron-core transformers, will make this driver flicker or fail to strike at all. It is worth reading the label on the dimmer in the consumer unit before ordering.

How much light, and what kind

The LED module draws 7.2 W and gives 573 lm at 3000 K — warm white, without the yellow cast of candlelight and without the blue cast of street lighting. That works out at 79.6 lm/W, energy class C.

Colour rendering is Ra 80 and colour consistency between units stays within SDCM3, so a row of bollards along a path lights in one shade. Declared module life is 107,920 hours. Power factor is above 0.9.

How the light falls

Light leaves through a milky diffuser hidden under the overhanging head and falls straight down. The BUG classification B0-U1-G0 and a ULOR of 0.63 % mean under one percent of the output escapes upward: the fitting does not brighten the sky and does not look into a neighbour's window.

Durability and mounting

IP65 means full dust protection and resistance to a jet of water from any direction. Sealing rests on an EPDM gland and a silicone gasket; the textured polycarbonate cover carries a UV filter against hazing. Mechanical strength is rated IK10.

The base fixes with four screws through ø8 mm holes spaced 18 × 50 mm. It runs on 230 V and is made in the European Union. One thing to check when ordering: the same family includes DC1310CB, a 24 V low-voltage fitting that needs a separate power supply.
