Asker Pole Pro 5162AL LED garden pole light, 216 cm, 8.5 W, 4000 K, light grey RAL 9006 – NORLYS

Asker Pole Pro 5162AL is a pole light with an integrated LED luminaire: a slim, two-section column made from extruded aluminium profile, powder-coated in light grey RAL 9006 (colour name ALUMINIUM on the manufacturer's card), with a horizontal arm and a flat head. It stands 216 cm tall, the column profile is 11 cm wide and the arm reaches 39 cm out from the column axis.

How it lights a path and its surroundings

The head uses a Ledil VSM lens with an IESNA type V distribution – symmetrical and wide – so the light spreads evenly all around the pole instead of in a narrow strip along the path. Norlys designed the pole for private grounds and parks. Only 1% of the light goes up (BUG B1-U1-G1), so practically no light reaches the sky or the windows of nearby buildings.

The Philips Fortimo LED module delivers 1221 lm at 4000 K, a neutral white that looks crisper and cooler than warm light. A colour rendering index of Ra 70 is enough for lighting a path or a garden, but plants and facades show their colours less faithfully than under Ra 80 or Ra 90 luminaires. The whole pole draws 8.5 W.

DALI2 control

The driver works in a DALI outdoor system and supports DALI2 and NightDim. It leaves the factory programmed to maximum current, so once connected the pole runs at full output. Dimming from a DALI installation or a night-time reduction of the output needs DALI control or a reprogrammed driver, arranged individually with the manufacturer.

Installation and service

The column stands on a 24 cm base plate with four ø12 mm holes on a 200 × 200 mm pattern. The ground anchor (117GA0009) and the concrete anchor (116ZX0009) are not included – one of them has to be ordered. The pole weighs 10.54 kg, and its side area of 0.232 m² is the figure needed when sizing the foundation for wind load.

The terminals take conductors up to 5 × 4 mm², and poles can be looped with cable up to 5 × 2.5 mm², so several poles along a path run from one supply line. The luminaire is rated IP65 and IK08 and is protection class I, so it must be connected to a protective earth. The LED module (L90B10 lifetime over 100,000 h) and the driver are replaced by a professional service using kit ZS5162zx0009.
