Astrid 2219CG LED bollard light NORLYS cement grey 55 cm IP65

Astrid 2219CG is a garden bollard from the Norwegian brand NORLYS: a slim 14 × 14 cm column, 55 cm tall, in a painted aluminium profile finished in cement grey and topped with an opal-diffuser head. The built-in LED glows at a warm 3000 K through milky plastic, giving a soft light entirely free of glare.

Not a floor lamp — a bollard anchored into the ground

Astrid does not stand on a surface. Its base carries three ø9 mm holes spaced 120° apart on a ø65 mm circle and bolts to a foundation or an anchor. NORLYS supplies, separately, a concreting anchor (index 205), a ground anchor driven into the soil (206), an adapter for a concrete foundation (206S) and a mounting adapter (3080GA). None of these is included — the fixing has to be bought and matched to the ground the bollard will stand on.

272 lm — and why that is the right number

The LED module produces 2113 lm, but 272 lm leaves the luminaire. That is not a loss or a design flaw: the head deliberately holds most of the flux back and sends down only as much as is needed to light the surface of a path. At the eye level of someone walking past, the bollard is a gentle point of light rather than a floodlight — which is why luminaire efficacy is 18.6 lm/W against the module's own 176.1 lm/W. For path and terrace lighting, visual comfort matters more than raw lumens.

Dimming and running them in a line

The fitting is TRIAC-dimmable, so it works with an ordinary leading-edge dimmer on a 230 V circuit — no separate control bus is needed. The terminals take conductors up to 3 × 2.5 mm² and allow a loop-through connection to the next luminaire, so a whole run of bollards along a driveway can be fed and dimmed from a single circuit. Maximum round-jacket cable diameter is 12.5 mm. The luminaire is protection class I and requires an earth connection.

Built for what happens in a garden

IP65 means full dust-tightness and resistance to a water jet — rain, a pressure washer on the paving, a sprinkler hitting the column. IK10 is the top step of the impact scale: the housing withstands a 20 J blow, roughly a 5 kg object dropped from 40 cm. On a fixture standing at knee height, within reach of a mower, a bicycle and a football, that is not a theoretical figure. The −20 to +45 °C operating range covers a northern European winter without reservation.

Light quality

3000 K is warm and sits well against greenery and against the wood and stone of a terrace. CRI 80 is enough to render plant and facade colours faithfully outdoors. SDCM3 describes something you only notice in a row: every unit lights at the same colour, so a line of bollards does not drift apart in tint. Photobiological risk is classified RG0/RG1 — the exempt or negligible-risk group.
