Black linear magnetic track spotlight V-TAC VT-4212 48 V, 12 W, 6400 K

The V-TAC VT-4212 is a black linear lighting module for a 48V DC magnetic track system. Its slim 27.3 cm body carries a row of integrated SMD LEDs behind individual optical lenses. Aluminium and polycarbonate form the housing, while the module attaches directly to a compatible magnetic track.

Focused 6400K light

The integrated source draws 12W and produces 1100 lm. A fixed 6400K colour temperature gives a cool white appearance for locations where clear, alerting light is preferred to a warm atmosphere. The actual optical beam angle is 35°, so the module covers a narrower area than a wide-distribution fitting and can highlight a display, shelving or a selected part of a room.

Colour rendering is CRI 80, while the EPREL registration separately declares R9 at 11. These figures provide a concrete comparison when accurate assessment of colours, especially saturated reds, matters. The module is not dimmable, and its 6400K output is not colour-tunable. Both the LED light source and the internal control gear are non-replaceable.

What the VT-4212 system requires

This fitting operates only on 48V DC and requires a compatible magnetic track plus a 48V transformer. It must not be connected directly to a 220–240V AC supply. V-TAC's instructions require installation by a qualified person with the power isolated and proper earthing maintained throughout the system.

The VT-4212 is a fixed linear grille module rather than a spotlight with a pivoting head. The same manual explicitly identifies separate models as adjustable-angle versions. With this unit, light position is planned through the module's location in the track and the route of the track itself.

Dimensions and indoor placement

The module measures 27.3 cm long, 2.6 cm wide and 2.4 cm high. Its low cross-section keeps the track line visually slim, while the length is the figure to allow for when spacing several units along one rail. The IP20 rating and installation instructions limit it to dry indoor use.

V-TAC lists offices, showrooms, exhibition halls, hotels, living rooms and museums as intended settings. Declared LED life is 20,000 hours, switching endurance exceeds 15,000 cycles, and the product carries a three-year warranty.
