The VT-407 is a track spotlight shaped as a white aluminium cylinder 18 cm long. The track adapter sits on top and the head is mounted on a joint, so the light can be aimed at a chosen spot. The light source is a Samsung COB diode built permanently into the body.

How the spotlight goes on the track

The adapter belongs in a three-phase track, that is, a track carrying three circuits. The fitting slides into the rail with the power off and locks with the slide switch on the adapter; wiring the track itself to the mains stays with a qualified electrician. The spotlight weighs 0.33 kg, so several of them fit on one rail without loading the mounting.

The body measures 180 mm long and 40.5 mm across, and the adapter adds 50 mm of height. The head turns through 350° and tilts through 90°, so every fitting on the rail can take its own angle. The manufacturer specifies operation from -20 to +45 °C and installation in a dry interior.

How much light it gives and of what kind

The fitting draws 7 W and delivers 420 lm at 4000 K, neutral white light with no yellow cast. The beam is 24° wide, which is narrow: this is accent light for a single object or a section of wall, not general lighting for a whole room.

A colour rendering index above Ra 90 means colours under this light look close to how they look in daylight - that matters wherever the colour of goods or of a picture has to be right. The diode cannot be replaced, as the COB is soldered into the body; the manufacturer quotes 30 000 hours, roughly 27 years at three hours a day, and over 15 000 switching cycles.

Where this spotlight works

The manufacturer intends it for exhibition stands, galleries, hotels and bars, and for commercial and residential interiors. In practice that means a shop or a restaurant, where the narrow beam lifts goods or a table out of the background, a hotel lobby, and at home the living room - above a picture or a shelf the light should reach as a pool rather than a wash.

The form is minimal: a smooth white tube with no ornament, only the joint and the adapter visible on top. The white body does not stand out against a white ceiling or a white rail, which shows once several fittings hang on one run.
