BORG Bollard 6190 aluminium RAL-9006 - NORLYS

BORG 6190 is a bollard light shaped as a plain cylinder finished with a flat round disc. The aluminium casting is powder-coated in RAL 9006, the light silvery aluminium shade. Light leaves from beneath the disc through a satin PMMA diffuser.

How tall it is and what the installation still needs

The bollard stands 105 cm tall, the disc is 20 cm across and the shaft 7.6 cm. At that height the fitting lights from below the eye level of an adult — compare the figure with how tall the planting along the path you mean to light actually is. The luminaire weighs 3.44 kg and the carton measures 22 × 22 × 109 cm.

No anchor is supplied. Norlys sells the ground spike (202GA0009), the cast-in anchor (203ZX0009) and the concrete-foundation adapter (201GA0009) separately, so one of them has to be added to the order. The terminals accept conductors up to 3 × 4 mm² in a round sheath of ø8-12.5 mm and allow loop-through wiring, so several bollards run off one cable led from fitting to fitting.

How much light it gives and where it goes

The luminaire delivers 1358 lm at 16 W; the LED module itself produces 2093 lm and the difference stays in the diffuser and the optic. 3000 K is warm white, close to a traditional incandescent bulb. Colour rendering of Ra 80 keeps the colours of planting and paving recognisable, though less faithful than under sources of Ra 90 and above.

The distribution is rotationally symmetrical, so the light spreads evenly around the bollard, and the ULOR is 0% — nothing goes upwards, all of it lands on the surface around the fitting. The bollard is phase-dimmable in both TE and LE modes, which needs a phase dimmer in the installation.

Build and durability

The body is powder-coated cast aluminium, the diffuser is satin PMMA and the joint is closed with a silicone gasket. IP65 covers water jets, so the fitting can stand in the open with no cover overhead; IK08 describes the impact resistance of the housing. The manufacturer gives an operating range of -20 to +45°C.

The luminaire is protection class I, so an earth conductor connection is mandatory. The LED module and the control gear are replaceable by professional service — Norlys carries a service kit for this fitting under the index ZS6190zx0010.
