Britop Cadre 872020228 chrome pendant light with grey shade, 56 cm, 2×E27

Britop Cadre 872020228 combines one rectangular grey fabric shade with two E27 lampholders inside it. Chrome-finished metalwork and transparent plastic cables complete the pendant, with the reflective ceiling canopy contrasting against the restrained shade surface. This is the grey version, rather than the white shade or wood-finished alternative in the Cadre family.

Planning the space above a table

The shade measures 56 cm long, 20 cm wide and 30 cm high. Its elongated footprint occupies a different shape above a tabletop from a round pendant. When choosing a dining-room light, compare that length with the table and consider where the ceiling connection sits. The same approach is useful above a kitchen island or a table within an open living area.

The dimension drawing shows a total height of 130 cm, including the suspension and shade. It is not the height of the fabric section alone. Compare this measurement with your ceiling height to work out where the lower edge would sit. If the proposed position crosses a walking route, the clearance below the fitting matters as well as its width.

Two light sources within one shade

The manufacturer specifies 2×E27, with a maximum of 40 W for each bulb. Both lampholders sit within the shared shade; two light points do not mean two separate hanging shades. Select light sources with the matching cap and within the stated power limit. Their light output and colour temperature determine the lighting result, so the pendant's length is not a measure of brightness over the table.

Chrome detailing and fabric care

Straight edges, a pared-back suspension and the absence of decorative arms support modern and minimalist interiors. Cadre can also be considered for a living room or bedroom where the desired feature is a rectangular fabric shade rather than a branching chandelier. The chrome finish is most visible at the ceiling.

The catalogue care symbol distinguishes the two shade surfaces: use a dry cloth on the outside and a damp cloth on the inside. This guidance concerns the shade and does not mean that the fabric can be washed or the complete fitting soaked.
