This is the shade alone – a replacement part, not a complete lamp. Ripple 111305 from the British brand Endon Lighting has the classic tapered (empire) shape: 40 cm across at the bottom, 28 cm at the top, 27.5 cm tall.
A pattern, not a plain colour
The name "Ripple" describes the pattern: the fabric is digitally printed with vertical, wavy strokes in Marlin Blue on a pale ground. Close up you see fine ripples and shifts in the depth of the blue – closer to hand-painting than to a flat print. So the shade is not solidly blue; in a room it reads as a blue-and-white accent. The edges are taped and the inside carries a plain lining, so the light diffuses evenly and the seams do not show through.
A reversible gimbal – for a standing lamp or a pendant
The key practical feature: the shade has a reversible gimbal (the fitting cage inside). Turning it over changes how the shade hangs, so one and the same shade will sit on a table lamp, a floor lamp, or hang as a pendant. It fits E27 and B22 (bayonet) caps.
What you still need
Only the shade is supplied: no bulb, no lamp base and no suspension. When choosing a lamp, remember that a lined shade reflects heat inwards – an LED source suits it better than a high-wattage traditional bulb.
