Zigzag is a shade on its own — a tapered lampshade 12.2 cm tall, 16 cm across at the bottom and 8.5 cm at the top, handcrafted from gathered faux silk. The zigzag pattern in Cotswold Green is digitally printed, the edges are taped, and the inside is finished with a plain lining.
It clips onto the bulb, not onto a socket
This is the thing to know before buying. The shade has a clip gimbal that grips the bulb itself — a candle or golf-ball lamp — rather than a ring that screws onto an E14 holder. It therefore fits lights where the bulb stands upright and accessible: candelabra, chandeliers, arm-type wall lights and table lamps with an exposed source. It will not work on a fitting designed for a threaded shade ring. Endon recommends a 7 W LED with an E14 or B22 cap; no bulb is included.
The lining and the taped edge decide the light
The plain inner lining is not a cosmetic detail: it spreads the light evenly instead of printing the shadow of seams and frame onto the fabric. The taped edge holds the cone's shape and finishes the bottom rim, which is the part you see most when looking up at the lamp. Cotswold Green is a muted, dusty shade — lit from within it warms towards olive.
What it suits
Sixteen centimetres across is table-lamp, wall-light and small-chandelier territory — Endon itself suggests pairing it with decorative table lights, wall lights and chandeliers. Several of these on one chandelier give a coherent look without replacing the fitting. The shade weighs 100 grams, so it puts no strain on an arm. The manufacturer covers it with a two-year warranty; it is made in China.
