London Big 492BL is a complete classic-style garden lamp post: two square lanterns with clear polycarbonate panes on a twin-arm bracket, mounted on a telescopic pole. Everything is cast aluminium, powder-coated black (RAL 9005).
Height and what is in the box
The pole is telescopic, so the overall height can be set anywhere from 191 to 279 cm, and the arms with the lanterns span 91 cm. The set contains the luminaire (art. 4024), the terminal (art. 3040) and the pole (art. 3010). A concrete foundation, a concreting anchor, a ground anchor and a foundation adapter are not included and have to be ordered separately to suit the ground.
The base plate has three ø10.5 mm holes at 120° on a ø240 mm circle. The set weighs 12.91 kg net.
Which bulbs
Each lantern has an E27 socket and takes an LED bulb of up to 11 W, so two bulbs are needed in total. The bulbs are not included and are replaced by the user. The panes are clear, so the bulb is visible and its shape becomes part of the look of the lamp.
Where it fits and how it is wired
The manufacturer intends it for gardens and parks. IP54 means protection against dust and against splashing water from any direction, and IK07 means resistance to an impact of 2 J. The lamp post is protection class II, so no protective earth conductor is required.
The terminals take conductors up to 4 × 2.5 mm² and allow the next lamp post to be looped through at the same cross-section, so several of them along a path run on one cable. The cable gland accepts round cable of 7–12.5 mm diameter. The diffuser is available from the manufacturer as a spare part.
