Italux Tris black ceiling spotlight bar, 3× GU10, SPL-46829-3-BK

Italux Tris SPL-46829-3-BK is a black ceiling spotlight bar with three movable heads for GU10 bulbs. Its slender horizontal bar and cylindrical spotlights create a linear arrangement, while fine grooves on the head housings distinguish it from smooth tube fittings. The manufacturer specifies aluminium and steel, with a black finish described as sandblasted.

Direct light towards separate areas

The movable heads let you change the direction of the light without repositioning the complete fitting. This makes Tris worth considering when several selected areas need attention rather than a single shade directing everything downwards. In a living room it can provide accent lighting; in a hallway or walk-in wardrobe, the heads can be aimed towards different parts of the space.

When planning lighting for a kitchen, dining room or study, bulb selection matters as much as the number of heads. Three sockets do not by themselves establish that the fitting will light the entire room adequately. The result depends on the bulbs' luminous flux, beam angle and the direction of the spotlights. Compare those specifications with the size of the room and any other lighting already planned.

Check the length and ceiling clearance

The fitting measures 58 cm long, 5.5 cm wide and 16.6 cm high. Heads measuring 5.5 cm in diameter sit along the straight bar, which connects to a central rectangular ceiling canopy. Before choosing a position, check the space for the elongated fitting as well as the clearance below the ceiling. This is a ceiling-mounted bar rather than a pendant suspended on long cables.

Choose the GU10 bulbs separately

Bulbs are not included. Italux allows conventional or LED GU10 sources and specifies a maximum power of 10 W. You therefore choose the light colour, brightness and beam characteristics when buying the bulbs. Dimming requires suitable light sources; it is not guaranteed simply by the GU10 socket. The black geometric construction suits modern and minimalist interiors, with the ribbed cylinders adding detail without a bulky shade.
