Italux Riado silver E14 spotlight, 8 cm SPL-3422-1-SN

Italux Riado SPL-3422-1-SN is a single spotlight with a metal shade and satin nickel finish. A circular base, short arm and shade that widens towards its opening form a compact fitting with a visible joint. The silver-toned surface has a brushed texture rather than a mirror-like shine.

A single head with an adjustable direction

The head can be set at an angle, so the light does not have to point straight out from the base. This makes the fitting an option for supplementary light on a selected part of an interior: a living-room wall, an area beside furniture or a section of hallway. Adjustment changes the direction of the light, not the number of sources or the bulb's power. This Riado version has one light point, rather than a bar carrying several spotlights.

Compare the fitting's dimensions with the available space before deciding where to place it. The manufacturer lists a height of 14.5 cm, width of 13 cm, length of 8 cm and diameter of 8 cm. Allow for the head's position once it is aimed in the required direction, as well as nearby curtains and furnishings.

Choose an E14 bulb separately

No light source is supplied. The fitting takes one E14 bulb rated at no more than 40 W; the manufacturer allows a traditional or LED source. This figure is the bulb's maximum permitted wattage, not the fitting's fixed energy consumption. Brightness and light colour therefore depend on the bulb you select, which matters when matching Riado with other lights in the room.

Dimming is possible with a suitable light source. An E14 socket does not make every LED bulb dimmable: check the selected bulb's specification and compatibility with your chosen control before using it on a dimmed circuit.

Satin metal with a classic outline

The flared shade and round base support the fitting's classic character. Riado can provide additional directional light in living rooms, bedrooms or circulation areas when a small metal spotlight is preferable to a large lampshade. The maximum bulb wattage alone is not a basis for assuming that one fitting will illuminate the whole room.
